Brats and Glühwein

Oh hello, it’s me, in March, just now uploading my trip to Austria that I went on in DECEMBER. It’s fine, who doesn’t want to see Christmas things while we wait for spring to come?! Oh, you don’t? Well then get off this page!

For those of you still with me, I went to Innsbruck, Austria in December in search of those delicious Christmas market brats and warm glühwein. Even though it is surrounded by gorgeous snow capped alps, Innsbruck was pretty warm when I was there (about 60 degrees F), but that didn’t stop me from drinking some warm mulled wine (and sweating while I did it).

This town is pretty tiny, and so are its Christmas markets, so you don’t really need much time to explore. I went through each market about 20 times, and still had time to watch Home Alone in my hotel. I didn’t do much but wander the Christmas markets and be lazy. This trip is when my epic ‘pre-Christmas which stretched into a New Year’s sinus infection’ sickness began so I was DRAGGING. Either way, I got my fill of gorgeous views, brats, pretzels, sauerkraut, and all those other Austrian delights (you know I got some spaetzel delivered to my hotel).

Keeping it short and sweet, enjoy the views!

Now that that’s covered, Spring can come.

Auf Wiedersehen
