Oh hey it’s me, just catching up on things I’ve been too lazy to do for MONTHS, so thought I’d share a cute little day trip I went on once upon a time.
About an hour train ride from London St. Pancras is the cute little town of Rye. I had seen it forever on Instagram and had photo envy, so I had to go wander around and photograph it myself. It’s so stinking cute.
I just wanted something to do for the afternoon one day, so I hopped on the train with my camera and some snacks. Once I got to Rye, the goal was to go to Mermaid Street, because it is totes adorbs. A quick walk from the station and there it was. When I first got there some influencers were really killing my photo of the street without people in it vibe, so I went and wandered the rest of the town for a bit. Everywhere was photogenic, so I kept busy for a while.
In my wanderings, I found the cutest little tea room too. I wasn’t quite dressed for tea, and I had just eaten the snacks I packed, so I didn’t go in, but it’s on my list to go back to.

Then I finally made it back to Mermaid Street for the main event. The same influencers were still there, but I was able to avoid them a bit.

I did a bit more wandering and photographing, then hopped back on the train. This was a perfect little break from the city, it was so easy to get to, a cheap train ticket, and so cute. There’s also a beach nearby, but without a car it would have taken ages to get to, so I skipped it.

Oh, and I found yet another seasonal home. Winston Cottage is so cute!

Bye from Rye.
